Visitor's Car Stolen From West Seventh
City and county officers searched for a 1950 cream Ford coach reported stolen from 334 West Seventh Street in Seymour. Frederick Fields of Evansdale said the car owned by him and bearing Iowa plate 7 38836 was taken from in front of the Hawn residence between midnight and 7:30 this morning. He had the only keys, suggesting ignition wiring may have been crossed to start the car.

Harry Hand Expires In Asheville Hospital
Funeral services for Harry Hand Sr., 75, were held at Spruce Pine Presbyterian Church in Marion North Carolina with burial in the local cemetery. Hand, husband of Ida MacDuff, died in an Asheville hospital after a long illness. He lived at Little Switzerland North Carolina after moving from Orlando Florida where he served as Orange County sheriff from 1933 to 1937. A native of Shelbyville Indiana he moved to Orlando in 1911. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Ellis Moose and Odd Fellows lodges. Surviving are his widow a son Harry Hand Jr of Penland a daughter Mrs Julian Goodwin of Little Switzerland and four grandchildren R B MacDuff of Indianapolis attended the funeral rites.
