Lon C. Conway was confined to bed at 611 East Third Street after a shotgun shell in a trash fire exploded. Birdshot peppered his legs arms and chest. the 6:30 AM accident prompted Dr. Guy Martin to treat the injuries. Authorities think someone dropped or discarded a live shell in the yard.
In White Stone New York on June 28 Mrs Marie Freedman 35 and her five children Theodore 10 Janet 7 Catherine 4 Nancy 3 and Joseph 2 died in their home apparently from a gas suicide. Dr Babcock of Flushing hospital said all six were dead when he arrived. Police reported the mother turned on the kitchen stove gas.
Indianapolis seeks a Friday morning ruling by Special Judge C. Shirley on motions to quash affidavits charging Mayor John L. Duvall with political fraud. Three of seven affidavits are challenged as the nine month investigation continues. The defense asked for no arguments. prosecutors agreed.
Indianapolis report states Coroner Paul F. Robinson remains in grave condition after a Saturday automobile accident. Physicians announce he suffers from brain concussion and paralysis.

The legislature adjourned to thank Coolidge and declined a welcome for Lowden emissary Rep Dickinson Iowa, while a political writer cited a poll showing most lawmakers favored the president over Lowden on farm relief.
Crissy Field San Francisco June 28 Army Fokker plane flew from Oakland to Crissy Field and on to the open ocean in 11 minutes reaching the Pacific at 7 21 am Weather bureau reports ideal conditions for the Honolulu flight with head winds and clear skies predicted across much of the route from coast to Hawaii.
From Farallon Island California at 7 40 a m the army plane passed directly over the Farallons western Pacific outpost located 35 miles west of the Golden Gate and 40 miles from Oakland airport.
Lieut Richard Grace of the California naval reserve aviator plans a flight from Honolulu to the Pacific coast mainland. A cracked propeller delayed his start yesterday. a new propeller will be installed early today, enabling a take-off this afternoon or Wednesday morning.
