A proposed U. S. 31 corridor from Indianapolis to Louisville east of Seymour is part of a tentative billion dollar Indiana super highway network sent to Washington. The plan foresees 932 miles of new expressways, with 591 grade separations and 216 bridges, and requires July 1, 1957 submission of interstate routes. Construction will be gradual with major urban work in Indianapolis and Calumet regions, plus toll road connections and weather delays cited.
