Fire Alarm Extinguished on U S 31 Truck Fire
A Gar rison Trucking Company truck from Flora Indiana caught fire near the Sey mour pit scales on U S 31 Thursday night. Trooper Earl Brown and passing drivers used extinguishers to quell the blaze located beneath the floorboards, limiting damage.

Auto truck crash injures six on county road
Six people were injured, including four children, in a head-on auto truck collision on a county road between Sparksville and Medora. The truck driver and one child were unharmed. Mrs. Luella Weir of Sparksville suffered a broken knee and facial bruises. Injured were treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital. The incident occurred as the county conducts a two week chest X ray survey with 3 062 people over 15 already scanned without charge this period.
