The truck overturned into a ditch. the boy was taken to Sehneck Memorial Hospital then to James Whitcomb Riley Hospital Indianapolis. Burrell Maples driver uninjured.

John Lunsford a 47 year old Paris Crossing grocer began a term of one to 10 years in Indiana State Prison at Michigan City after admitting he started a fire June 16 to collect 2000 insurance on stock valued at 400. The blaze destroyed his Masonic building store and other property totaling about 30000 with over 100 year old lodge records lost.
