Threshing operations begin early this season in Jackson county due to dry weather. Harvesters work under hot sun with dust rising from fields and separators as about 1 000 bushels of 1936 wheat are delivered to the Blish Milling Company elevator, with 400 more by noon. The season will finish a week to ten days earlier than usual as most wheat has been cut and shocked.
