New County Court To Be In Seymour
Jackson County officials decided to locate the new county court in the Federal Building in Seymour at Fourth and Chestnut streets. The 11:35 a.m. vote followed debate on Brownstown or Seymour sites and will handle traffic and small claims, replacing five justice of the peace courts by year end and absorbing cases from Seymour city court when it ends in 1979.

Queen Deadline Set For 1975 Jackson County Fair Contest
Deadline for entries is midnight Tuesday July 1. Judges require contestants to be Jackson County residents ages 16 to 21 by Aug 1 and not married. Only 16 entries received so far, typical for this stage. Contestants sponsored by a Jackson County civic organization will compete for queen and runners up. The queen will compete at the Indiana State Fair Queen contest and appear at opening ceremonies and horse shows in August.
