New Adult Swimming Class To Start Monday
A new section of adult swim classes will begin at the Seymour Municipal Swimming Pool next Monday night. Pool manager Joe D. Forestry panel calls for more reforestation in Indiana

Lightning Kills Cow During Storm on Spurgeon Farm
A Holstein cow was struck and killed by lightning on the Frank Spurgeon farm southeast of Reddington during a Tuesday evening storm at about 7 30. Mrs Spurgeon said the loss was insured. Hail also damaged wheat on Virgil Wessel’s farm in the Reddington area.

Former Seymour Druggist C. E. Loertz Dies at 72
Charles Edward Loertz, 72, longtime Seymour druggist and community figure, died at Bartholomew County Hospital in Columbus after a yearlong illness following a heart attack at his home.
