Miss Glaze to Train as Medical Technician
Suellen Glaze daughter of Mr and Mrs Arthur L Glaze of 338 Kessler Boulevard will depart Sunday for Indianapolis to begin a medical technician training program at Methodist Hospital. A Shields High School graduate class of 1947 she studied bio chemistry at Franklin College for three years. After 15 months at Methodist she will earn an AB degree in bio chemistry from Franklin College and be registered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

National Guard Unit To Train At Camp Atterbury
Sixty two men of Company B 138th Heavy Tank Battalion depart Freeman Field for a 15 day training period at Camp Atterbury. The group includes Capt John N Owens and Capt John M Lewis with 57 enlisted men and support staff. They will travel in four trucks with eleven tanks for eight five man crews plus clerks cooks mechanics drivers radio men and a bugler. All members except two from Scott county and one from Bartholomew county are Jackson county residents. They return home on August 12 after midnight.

Mrs. Ella Prince 74 well known Seymour resident died early this morning at 409 East Third Street from complications of a lingering illness. Born October 17 1875 in Cambridge Indiana she was married to Thomas G Prince in Washington County March 9 1904. Survived by husband four children a step son three brothers three sisters and 15 grandchildren. Funeral services were set for Monday at Kovener Funeral Home Crothersville and Russell Chapel Methodist Church with burial in Russell Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon at Kovener.

FBI Captures Michigan Fugitive in Indianapolis Shootout
Henry Harland Shelton, 41, once among the nation’s 10 most wanted, was wounded Friday night when two FBI agents shot as he reached for a gun near an eastside tavern.
