Purchases Ship Dies in Flames Near Shelbyville
Howard Howell, a Shelbyville machinist, died when a government licensed ship he had just bought from Seymour Aviation Club stalled near Seymour Municipal Airport and crashed into a tree eleven miles southeast of Shelbyville. Witnesses saw flames within seconds as the craft, unlicensed and with limited flight time, veered low then disappeared. Identification came later by his ring and ship numbers. Howell leaves a widow and several siblings.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Dean Trautwine, a native of the city, will be held at 3 30 p m Tuesday from Voss Mortuary with burial in Riverview Cemetery. She was killed Friday in an automobile accident in an eastern state while traveling with her daughter Lola Tausigg of Wichita Kansas who is hospitalized with injuries.
