Ball Sentenced To Life Terms In Triple Murder
Pet Mikee Steven Ball, 25, of Indianapolis, received three concurrent life sentences for the shotgun killings of Steven Nichter, Ricky Burke, and Eugene Lillico, all from Indianapolis. The jury found him guilty of three counts of second degree murder after a three week trial, with sentencing today.

The Seymour Jaycees report $3 600 in new gifts from groups and individuals to finish the center built on the former Palace Furniture site. Jackson County commissioners awarded multiple traffic sign contracts at a special session in Brownstown. Stella Products, Spencer, won bids for sign faces and aluminum blanks, with low bids of 7,067.30 and 5,192.70 respectively, while Associate Sign Post Inc., Muncie, secured posts at 13,870.94 and Stella also won delineators at 2,765. Other bidders included Minnesota Mining and W.O.M. Sales.

Paris AP reports President Valery Giscard d Estaing said after three days of talks with Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev that Soviet U S relations are in a more difficult phase. Brezhnev blamed Western policies and said no major progress occurred in disarmament talks. They urged decisive disarmament measures and a world disarmament conference while stressing respect for human rights.

Accidents Here Cause Damage Injuries Reported
Three vehicle crashes here and at Walnut and Bruce streets left two people with minor injuries. A 1966 car driven by Loretta Motsinger and a 1972 truck driven by Roger McKinney collided as Motsinger pulled into the intersection. Motsinger’s two year old son sustained a hand laceration. Sgt.
