Two vehicle accidents occurred on U S 31 and U S 50 near Union town and East of U S 31. Hazel Jent, 33, Crothersville, cited for failure to yield onto U S 31, caused a collision with a southbound truck driven by Robert Gillaspy, 43, Seymour. Damage: $200 to the truck, $75 to Jent’s 1959 station wagon. In a second crash Herbert Zumhingst, 75, of 909 West Sixth Street, rear ended by a westbound 1960 two ton truck driven by Jerry L. Perry, 24, North Vernon. Damage: $200 to Zumbhingst’s auto, $100 to the truck.

Rust Firm Gets Fair Entrance Work Contract
The Chester Rust Bulldozing and Excavating Company began work on clearing ditches grading and preparing the new entrance off Walnut Street Brownstown for the county fair. The 60 foot right of way will be paved with crushed stone and the project should finish by July 10. The Rust firm was the lowest of four bids with price not disclosed.
