City Council Moves to Float 40000 Dollar Bond Issue

The council on Friday night introduced an ordinance to float a 40000 dollar bond to cover expenditures beyond this year’s budget. Plans for a sanitary sewer system and annexation were discussed along with storm sewers on Elm and Laurel streets and park improvements.

Four Young Men In Speedster Crash Killing One

Fred Collins of near Crothersville survived a high speed crash in a Ford speedster that left William Robert Lowes dead from a broken neck. George Lowes and Evan Sleather escaped injuries while Collins rode on the tail of the car as it overturned on a downhill stretch near New Bethel east of Indianapolis.

OConnor Brothers Purchase Block for Monument Business

O Connor Brothers monument makers have bought the northwest corner block at South Chestnut and Bruce streets in Henry Lebline city Missouri Nevada. They plan to move in about Jan 1 1925 and use the ground floor for display room and offices with manufacturing in an addition to be built. The Seymour Business College will relocate and continue classes elsewhere.

Edward Bowman Injured at Brownstown Farm

Edward Bowman, a prominent farmer two and a half miles north of Brownstown, was injured Thursday evening at his barn when a horse ran out and another horse kicked him in the right side and leg. No bones were broken, but a physician attended him at the scene.

Wolf Shoe Company Sets Production Record

The Sam B. Wolf Shoe company produced 350 pairs on Thursday, the largest daily output since starting in the city. With 115 or more workers this week, payroll will rise as orders pile up. Manager J. The Indiana public service commission granted Seymour Water Company authority to issue 50,000 in additional common stock to cover pumping station improvements at Rockford and service expansion for anticipated city growth.
