New 16 Inch Water Main Serves Seymour City
Seymour is now served by two water mains from the Seymour Water Company pumping station at Rockford. The new 16 inch main, entering the city on Elm Street, runs with the existing 12 inch line from Alternate U.S. Route 31 and Ewing Street. Five filters are in operation at Rockford, with a sixth planned, ensuring continued service if one line fails.
