A city census and community survey started this morning in Seymour. led by Edward Edmonds with about 10 workers from college work study and NYCD to ask five questions on work, districts, city purchase, school board elections, and family size across 18 districts starting in district four near city hall. Nixon ends Middle East tour with pledge of aid to Jordan
President Nixon wrapped up his five nation Middle East swing in Amman with a promise of continued military and economic assistance to Jordan and a plan to discuss peace efforts with King Hussein in Washington. A joint Jordanian-American commission will monitor cooperation in economic development and military aid. Fonda Pottschmidt of Browns town R2 is chosen from District 11 to run for State FFA Sweetheart and will compete Wednesday. Fourteen individuals will be honored as 1974 honorary State Hoosier Farmers at Loeb Playhouse with Lt. Governor Robert Orr among them. plus educators and ag leaders from Purdue, Farm Bureau, and Indiana education. Pre conference sessions Monday featured state contests.
