Steve Murray age 17 of Indianapolis tried to hold up Rev. Ralph Ogan pastor of Scottsburg Methodist Church on state road 31 north of Seymour. Ogan restrained the youth took him to jail and the boy was released to juvenile court guidance with no fine. The father pledged to monitor his son while the mother remained ill in Indianapolis.

Boy Fractured Leg After Fall From Pony
Louis Lee Carpenter four year old son of Mrs. Emily Carpenter sustained a fracture above his right knee when he fell from his pony on the Carpenter farm near Crothersville Saturday evening. The boy was brought to Schneck Memorial hospital where the fracture was reduced and he returned home Sunday afternoon resting fairly well.

Edward L. Hancock, longtime local business figure and Progressive Music Company manager, died of heart disease after a Saturday night collapse at his desk. Born April 25, 1863 near Tampico, he moved to Memphis Indiana, settled in this city in 1880, and leaves a widow, daughter Mrs. George Laupus Jr., son James E. Hancock, stepson Charles Maple, and several other relatives. Funeral arrangements set for Tuesday.

Air plane stunt flight to Seymour precedes real estate meeting
About a dozen airplanes carrying 20 to 30 members of the Indianapolis real estate board will fly over Seymour tomorrow noon en route to the National Association of Real Estate Boards convention in Louisville. The formation will include Earl Halstead, Indianapolis flying cop, and the group will form an advance guard for more than 100 Indianapolis realtors attending the Louisville event. The flight originates from Hoosier airport at 11 am CST and will pass Seymour shortly after takeoff.
