Tragedy on Seymour Farm As Tractor Overturns
Tony Miller 16 died at the scene when a farm tractor overturned on a Seymour County road near Enos Road. Ricky Marsh 14 was hospitalized in good condition with leg lacerations and possible back injuries. Dicky Marsh, 14, escaped injury as a passenger jumped clear. Jackson County Coroner Keith Burkholder cites a fractured lumbar vertebra and internal bleeding as the cause of Miller’s death.

$300000 Damages Sought in Four Suits Over Seymour Crash
In Jackson Circuit Court at Brownstown four separate suits seek a total of 300000 dollars for injuries from a June 19 1967 crash in Seymour. Plaintiffs Richard R. Elliott Doris E. Henderson Lonnie W. Cole and James A. Cole sue Billie R. Webb for 100000 20000 150000 and 30000 dollars respectively. The accident occurred as Cole and Elliott rode a motorcycle west on Tipton Street while Webb drove a truck on US 50 toward the intersection with South O’Brien Street. Webb allegedly passed another vehicle and struck the motorcycle injuring both riders. The complaints charge reckless driving by Webb.

A Seymour youth, 15, was arrested after a Walnut street crash and chase on Ewing street. He faced DUI, leaving the scene, and no license charges, was jailed and later moved to juvenile detention.
