Murder Case Set For Trial Next Tuesday
Marvin Gordon King a 16 year old boy faces a second degree murder charge in Jennings Circuit Court Vernon for the death of his four year old half sister Doris Jean Daniels. A 100 name jury pool will be drawn for the trial set for next Tuesday June 19. The boy admitted the shooting at the family farm home four miles southwest of North Vernon after his parents left for Madison with a younger brother. He said he shot the girl twice after taking a rifle he earned money from last year. The body was found by Deputy Clyde Perkins. A sanity hearing was scheduled for Friday.
