Clinton S. Scott, a local barber living on South Chestnut Street since February, was arrested by Deputy U S marshal H T Burnett on a federal indictment from Illinois. Ownership of 600 Guns Seized Aboard Ship Bound for Belfast
In Hoboken New Jersey a court will decide ownership of 600 machine guns and five cases of ammunition seized from the steamer East Side. Customs officers found the munitions hidden in a coal bunker on the ship which was about to sail to Belfast. A witness said the cargo was discovered by a crew member.
