He formerly published a newspaper and wrote Lincoln and Washington lives in verse selling 300000 copies. He read his Lincoln poem at a memorial in Lincoln’s tomb years ago.

Approximately forty planes ranging from two cylinder ships to a tri metered craft visited Municipal Airport on the ninth annual Indiana Air Tour. A large crowd watched aerial acrobatics and skywriting as the stunting planes landed orderly under traffic directors. Flights were delayed at Columbus due to schedule mix ups, but the Columbus luncheon stop activities were canceled as the fleet departed after 1 PM.

Noblitt Sparks Industries Grants New Pay Increases
Noblitt Sparks Industries raises wages again effective Monday. The new schedule adds five cents an hour for men and two cents for women with time and a half for overtime. Minimums rise to forty five cents for men and thirty seven and a half cents for women, following a previous series of raises and a $100,000 Christmas bonus shared by employees.
