Local Man Sentenced in Mayor's Court
A Seymour man, Jack Sullivan, 53, received six months at the Indiana state penal farm and fines totaling 113 dollars after pleading guilty to public intoxication in Mayor Donald L. Herwig’s court. He was arrested Saturday by city police. Glen F. Johnson, 23, of Seymour pleaded guilty to reckless driving in a local justice court and was fined $1 plus $13.75 costs. he was arrested by city police.

Several Hurt In Accidents Over Week End
Weekend traffic brought injuries across the county with three serious cases admitted to Schneck Memorial Hospital. Mary McIntyre 16 suffered a fractured pelvis in a crash on State Road 3. Walter Peer 19 sustained facial lacerations and leg injury. Harold Collins The accident near Dudleytown left him with a severe chest injury. An 83 year old woman was lightly hurt in a two car crash on State Road 250 east of Brownstown near Starve Hollow Lake. Albert Hackman 59 and Frieda Leffler 53 were the drivers.

Harry Dowell pleaded guilty in Jackson Circuit Court Brownstown to using a motor vehicle without owner's consent and received six months at the Indiana state penal farm by Judge John M. Lewis. Bandit Sought After $1028 Robbery At Austin Service Station
State police from Seymour and surrounding districts hunt a masked bandit who held up the Scott County Service Station at Austin about 4 20 this morning taking roughly $1028 including about $100 in change. Police set roadblocks at key junctions but found no trace of the suspect, described as about 25 with a blue steel .88 revolver.

Seymour and Jackson county Lions and families came back from Indiana Lions Clubs state convention at French Lick Springs Hotel. Delegates announced include Buena Chaney as District 25 E governor and Raymond R. Tash as zone trustee. Parley at Geneva Nears End Amid Highway Blasts
