Robbery at Dodds General Store in Hayden
Loot valued at about 400 dollars taken from the Dodds general merchandise store of Mrs. Mary Dodds in Hayden seven miles east of here. An unsuccessful entry attempt at H Y Whitcomb’s Hayden grocery followed. The heist was discovered about 4 AM when Edward Simmons noticed open doors. A truck headed east fled, leaving scattered merchandise and a front door area damaged as bandits escaped.

Blood Transfusions Extend Roach Life in Indiana County

Charles Strout of Bedford gave blood in a transfusion at Roach’s parents’ home near Kale, Martin County, aiding Roach’s recovery. A Haynes seven passenger touring car owned by Whit Anderson of this city was badly damaged last evening after 7 o clock when the clutch broke loose and the drive shaft tore from the engine. The car was driven by Lester Anderson with two other occupants. no injuries were reported. The Andersons recently moved to Seymour from Connersville Indiana after living in this city previously.
