Woman Injured in Unusual Accident Near Reddington Cemetery
Mrs. Mary E. Crichton, 32, of Ridgeview, was treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital for a deep temple wound and multiple cuts after she fell from a moving car while reaching for her three year old son Kenneth on U S Road 31 near the Reddington Cemetery. The boy escaped with minor injuries and the truck driver ahead of them stopped in time. The Crichtons include James M. Crichton and children Melvin, five, and Ken.

Two men employed in Indianapolis were arrested in Seymour by Detective Sgt Robert L Bennett and Detective Wayne O Tolbert. Baren W Ayres 33 of Houston Texas is charged with assault and battery. William Conner 33 of Nashville Tennessee is charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. The charges stem from a disturbance while the men were visiting Jennings county.

Kovener Family Welcomes Navy Vet Home From Korea
Gilbert Kovener AE-3 United States Navy has returned to San Francisco after six months of combat service in Korea. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Kovener of 605 West Oak Street. He says he feels well and hopes to visit home in July. Another son, Jesse Jr., is a staff sergeant with the U S Air Force and stationed in Germany.

Man Fined for DUI in Jackson Circuit Court
Charles R. Fitch of Seymour pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated in Jackson Circuit Court at Brownstown. He was fined 50 dollars plus 12.55 costs and faces a 90 day license suspension. Fitch was arrested Monday night by Trooper John Sime on U S Road 31 near Crothersville. the case is the 57th DUI filed this year in the court.

Police report 61 year old Alvin C Rasmussen slashed his wife to death at 5135 Central Ave Indianapolis then went to his son James Rasmussen's Oaklandon home six miles away and shot and wounded his son and grandson. He then killed himself. The wife and grandson were found dead and wounded respectively at the two homes. Rasmussen was a retired Army colonel and former commander of the First Indiana Logistics Division.
