Motorcycle Crash Kills Man in Indiana I 65 Incident
Jimmie T. Compton 25 died from internal injuries in a Sunday morning crash near the I 65 U S Alternate 31 interchange in Jackson County. His wife Sue 24 driver of the motorcycle was listed in serious condition with a broken arm skull fracture and internal injuries at Bartholomew County Hospital. Trooper Dale Swider said the couple on a 1965 motorcycle passed a truck then returned to the right lane when the bike went down on an embankment.

Wallonia A1 Girl Three Found Safe After 18 Hours
Three year old Ann Christine Penny Carroll was found safe near her home 1.5 miles southeast of Walionia Ri after an 18 hour search ending Sunday morning. Trooper John Agan and four others located her in brambles sleeping, wearing a yellow tee shirt and underwear, with injuries from bites and scratches. Temperatures dropped to the low 60s.

Blaze Destroys Auto On Knobs In Medora Hills
A Friday evening blaze started by a failed attempt to boost a car over a hill destroyed Norman W. Gunn’s 1956 four door auto and spread to surrounding brush. Gunn and his wife and two children escaped unharmed after the fire department and U S Forest Service aided by Trooper Charles E. Conrad Sr. and others battled the flames about nine minutes.
