A fourth week end burglary attempt at Bottorff's Grocery in Cortland failed when a glass window was broken but entry not gained. Earlier similar break-ins hit Tim perman's Sales and Service Davis Milling Company and Topie and Holle Service station with no cash taken. No One Injured In Head On Crash On State Road 258
At about 3 30 Monday afternoon a head on collision occurred on State Road 258 in the steel bridge over Blue Hole east of Cortland. Donald Kemp 24 North Vernon R3 drove a truck west while George Wilson 25 of Freetown drove a 1947 car east. Both were driving slowly on the one lane bridge. front end and grill damage were reported. Washington administration officials and military leaders urged Senate leaders to restore at least 600 million of the 1.1 billion cut from the foreign aid bill. Boy Injured In Fall From Soft Drink Truck
