Purdue Offers Summer Flying Course For Engineers
Purdue University in Lafayette Indiana in cooperation with Curtiss Flying Service announces a six week summer flying program for aeronautics students. Courses run June 15 to August 19 with both practical flight training at the Indianapolis Curtiss Wright branch and theoretical study in aerodynamics flight theory airship structures navigation and aerostatics under Capt George W Haskins. Open to Purdue engineers with three years work and credits in applied mechanics. other colleges may enroll with equivalent study. Credit awarded and a certificate may lead to Department of Commerce rating exams.

Unexpected Widow Seeks Inheritance in Elkhart
In Elkhart Indiana on June 12 a woman claiming to be Mrs Joseph Shively widow of shoe merchant Joseph Shively who died two years ago filed suit in Superior court for a widow's share of his estate valued at 159000. She says they married in 1906 in Memphis Tennessee and left for Los Angeles after filing the suit. Elkhart relatives were surprised by the claim and a hearing is expected at the fall term.

Man 70 shoots self at wife's grave in Indiana
Harry Bush 70 a former taxi driver kneeled at his wife's grave in Mt Hope cemetery Huntington Ind and fired two bullets into his body. Caretaker Clarence Sickafoose found a letter to a local undertaker directing disposal of his body. He was rushed to Huntington County Hospital in serious condition. No motive given for the self inflicted act.
