Road bandits in daylight hold up Bedford trio

Noble Davis a Bedford businessman and his wife Della May and friend John Pearson were robbed at gunpoint near Spencer while attempting to rescue a Ford coupe stuck in a mudhole. The bandits forced Davis to drive his Willys Knight sedan away, taking clothing and valuables including Della May’s pocketbook and Pearson’s diploma.

Calvin Coolidge Named Candidate by Burton at Cleveland

Muncie Indiana June 12 two South Bend men George Anthony and Roy Eder were arrested on highway robbery charges after they briefly stopped to visit sweethearts in Muncie. Detectives identified them by the automobile used in the Grand Rapids assault and robbery on June 8.

Laporte Indiana, June 12. William Franklinburger, 61, killed himself by hanging in the barn at the rear of his home late yesterday. Authorities say he was discouraged by ill health and funeral arrangements are underway.
