While loading logs an automobile rolled over trapping Mrs. Pearl Bart and Chester Hazelrig of Indianapolis. All three are reported injured as emergency crews respond to the incident at the logging site.
A death notice honors Mrs. Mary Doris Kasting eighty four widow of Frederick H Kasting highlighting her long service to Trinity Methodist Church since 1852 and her prominent Jackson county roots with the Borcherding and Kasting families. The obituary notes eleven children and her death following a two month illness. Additional injuries from Sunday and morning accidents in Medora area include Ben Jaynes and Mrs Pearl Barton with Chester Hazelrig severely injured.

Body to be shipped home for burial with funeral plans incomplete.

Funeral services were held today for 53 year old George Holtman brother of Herman Holtman of South Walnut street. Born in Dudleytown he died Friday and left a widow two daughters two sons two brothers and a sister. John Holtman of this city attended the funeral.
Mrs James Manuel niece of George T Manuel of this city died at her Jasonville home this morning at 10 40. She had been in good health and was at home when she suddenly collapsed. The Manuel family will travel to Jasonville for the funeral tonight.
Fourteen members of the First Presbyterian Men’s Brotherhood, with Rev. J. H. More, traveled from the local church to Scipio Sunday evening. They rode in three cars, stopped at Brown's Corner for a picnic lunch about 6:30, and heard a short address at the Scipio church during the visit.

Shelbyville Indiana June 12 United Press reports a new trial was denied for Mrs Cara Gibson Carl the woman dubbed feminine blue beard she was sentenced to life imprisonment for poisoning her second husband Frank Carl. Indications are the case will go to the supreme court as attorneys requested 180 days to perfect the appeal. Evidence at trial suggested she had also poisoned her first husband Robert Gibson and Alonzo Carl the father of Frank.

Chicago June 12 The United States railroad labor board will announce a third wage cut totaling 50 million dollars this week. Clerks signal men truckers and freight handlers will be affected with an approximate five cent per hour reduction. Workers earlier hit by cuts were voting on a strike with union leaders forecasting about 95 percent in favor.

Three people are dead and more than twenty injured after a tornado struck Buckeye Lake near Columbus Ohio. Rescue teams search the lake for missing boaters as over 50 cottages were destroyed and several pleasure craft remain unaccounted for.
