Five Hurt In Traffic Accidents Investigated
State police from Seymour report two accidents with five injured, none seriously. At U S 50 and County Road 500 W a 1972 sedan driven by Penny Gilbert 17 Medora R1 collided with a 1973 pickup driven by Thomas Hallow 25 Brownstown R1. Gilbert sustained knee abrasions and three Medora R1 passengers suffered bumps and chest pains. Hallow’s truck suffered $1200 damage and he was cited for failure to yield right of way and stop sign. A second one car crash on County Road 400 S west of County Road 715 E in Jennings County injured LeRoy Deal 34 Seymour R3. Deal lost control of his 1968 Col vehicle.

In Lawrence Circuit Court jurors near completion for the Robert Paul Jones case with testimony set to begin Monday. Jones 32 of Columbus faces three counts of first degree murder for shootings at Pauls Cafe last Nov 9 killing Tybith Campbell James Malone and Leslie Crum. Crum died weeks later. Jones pleads not guilty by reason of insanity.

State and city narcotics agents uncovered about 50 marijuana plants growing in a makeshift greenhouse at 822 South O'Brien street Thursday afternoon.
