Woman Hurt In 1-65 Crash Near Seymour
An elderly woman, Mary Hullinger, 74, of New Smyrna Beach Florida, was injured when a 1974 car driven by her son George Hullinger, 54, apparently fell asleep and struck a guard rail on I 65 near U S Alternate 31 north of Seymour. Hullinger suffered a sprained ankle. both were taken for examination and treatment. Damage was about 900 dollars. A Seymour youth Patrick J Joray, 17, was cited for reckless driving after a separate parking lot collision at Bill's Wrecker Service on U S 31 north of Seymour.

Jackson County residents faced threatening skies that cooled off with a 53 degree low and 76 degree high on Monday. A funnel cloud was reported in the Reddington area but not confirmed. A separate windstorm near Carmel uprooted trees, damaged homes and cars, with four foot trunks blown down. no injuries were reported. About 200 residences lost power following the event.
