Child Struck Killed South Of Crothersville
An eight year old Crothersville boy Joseph Donnell died after being struck by a car on Bethany Road near his home at 4 15 pm. The driver Glenn Turner described speed about 55 mph. Funeral services pending. The day's Indiana traffic toll reached eleven with several other fatal crashes reported across the state.

Decorated Seymour Veteran Killed in Vietnam
Command Sgt. Major William H. Clevenger, 49, of 1545 Robin Hood Drive, Seymour, was killed in Vietnam June 6 after wounds from a rocket attack. A Columbus native, he served since 1941 across World War II, Korea, and Vietnam and earned numerous decorations, including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. His death occurred on the 25th anniversary of D-Day.

The Seymour board met Tuesday night to review the summer school program. Attendance totals 829 students across Seymour Senior High School 441 Emerson and Washington remedial classes 135 and music classes 253. They approved architect recommendations changes to the building program swimming pool equipment and an electric gym scoreboard and fire alarm updates for new structures. Insurance plans with Guaranty Trust Life were approved to continue with James Spurgeon representing locally. May financial report was reviewed and June claims approved. Man Killed In Argument Over Apartment Rental
Indianapolis police said a Tuesday night dispute over renting an apartment ended with Eugene Flynn 23 dead from a .38 caliber head wound and Eddie Howard 22 wounded in the left arm.
