Daisy Phillips 41 widow of Sherman Phillips of near Crothersville died by hanging at Cragmont Madison. She earlier attempted suicide July 16 1923 at her farm home and underwent arm amputation at Schneck Memorial hospital. Her death follows mental distress after her husband’s suicide a month earlier. No children survive.
