Tennessee man charged after truck with explosives theft case
Virgil Creasy, 43, of Gallatin Tennessee, was stopped on I 65 near Uniontown driving a one ton truck loaded with unstable industrial explosives. He faces a vehicle theft charge connected to a Portland Tennessee incident and was to be returned to Sumner County to face the case. He previously pleaded guilty to a DUI in Jackson County Court with a $25 fine and 60 day license suspension.

A tentative dedication program for a 40 foot carillon at River View Cemetery was set for Sunday June 26 at 2 30 p m. The gift from late Miss Inez and Miss Nora Persinger will be serviced and maintained by the Seymour National Bank as executor of the estate and trustee of the testamentary trust. Westminster chimes toll 9 a m to 6 p m weekdays and 1 to 6 p m Sundays with tunes at noon and 5 30 p m Saturdays and noon 3 p m Sunday and Taps at 6 03 p m daily.
