Seymour aviation commissioners met at Freeman Field to discuss an upcoming air show July 3 to 5 with Indiana Sport Aviation Association president William Loyd. Due to missing members a special session will be scheduled. The three day event includes cross country trophy, glider flying, aerobatics, gyrocopters, parachuting, antique and warbird displays, camping and rides for the public. Budget for 1977 is 259 400, down 99 040 from this year. finances to be sent to the city council. Mayor Ernest noted six thousand dollars in excise tax from planes will be distributed to township units and Seymour will be asked to contribute its share.

Crothersville Bicentennial Festival Planned
Residents of Crothersville prepare for the towns first Bicentennial Red White and Blue Festival beginning at 3 p m Friday and lasting through Saturday night. The event features horseshoe contests fish fry a wild west show a parade entertainment and a Continentals concert among many activities. The Dixon Dancers perform hourly on Preston street and a ham and bean supper runs throughout the festival. The festival includes a flea market with about 45 booths and street closures for setup. An agricultural research facility will be established by the Indiana Agricultural Experiment Station at Purdue to study southeastern soils with long term crop demonstration plots.
