The General Services Administration plans to begin negotiations with Seymour for purchase after appraisal. Officials said talks could start before month’s end and final price will be set through GSA negotiations.

Stolen Car Suspect Caught By Seymour Police
Rollin Beckham Wilson Jr 22 of Columbus was stopped in a stolen 1956 car in the 200 block West Second Street at 1 08 am by Officer James L Booker and Sgt Donald F Scott. He was held for Columbus authorities after a state police alert. Earlier a separate theft led to the arrest of Victoria Gill 19 in Campblissburg for reckless driving.

Mile of U S 31 A Being Resurfaced Here
Indiana State Highway Department announced a resurfacing project on about one mile of U S Alternate 31 from the Catholic cemetery along Ewing Street to north of Enos Road. The stretch was reduced to one lane as work progresses with southbound lane resurfacing. Crews will add crushed stone shoulders on U S 50 from Brownstown to Medora junction and bids will be opened for Ind 135 from Millport to Wallonia and Ind 235 from Medora to U S 50.
