Building Fund Chosen Over Old Juvenile Center Plan
Jackson County commissioners rejected buying an old house for a juvenile detention center and instead created a five cent five year building and maintenance fund to support a future youth facility. They also tentatively approved three county landfill bids, renewed ambulance service for next year with a per person rate increase, and opened a jail radio equipment bid from Motorola.
