City police logged 16 investigations into May accidents with five injuries, none serious, and $4 388 in property damage. The month saw 66 arrests, 34 criminal and 32 traffic, led by public intoxication with 23. Reckless driving topped traffic violations with 13 arrests.

Samaritan Hurt While Breaking Up Fight At Carnival Lot
A good Samaritan named Harry Weston, 46, of Augusta Georgia, was treated at Schneck Memorial Hospital for a scalp laceration after attempting to stop a fight between two travelling show workers at the Kasting lot near the city western edge. He was released. No charges were filed as the fighters declined to press. State police were summoned since the lot lies outside city limits.
New Library Furniture In Use at Boys Club
The Seymour Boys Club has received its final major furnishings addition a library set donated by Ashcrafts Home Furnishings. Five pieces plus a book case in blonde oak with moroccan brown leather upholstery are now in use by the club’s boys.
