Brownstown resident Mrs. Lee Allen McCrary 66 died at home after a three month illness. Born September 11 1881 she was married to Clyde McCrary in Indianapolis in 1916 and left a son Sherman McCrary a brother Sherman Allen a sister Anna McKain and a granddaughter Linda Ann McCrary. Services at 2 PM Tuesday at Brownstown Methodist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at Winklepleck Funeral Home from 6 PM tonight until the service.

Man Fined 25 For Speeding In Brownstown
Noble Wischmeier of Brownstown R2 faced a $25 fine plus $10 costs after pleading guilty to speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone in city court before Mayor Donald L. Herwig. He was arrested on West Tipton street by city police Sunday and paid the fine this morning. Christene White of Mitchell also paid a $20 total after pleading guilty to public intoxication, with a $10 fine and $10 costs, and was taken to the Jackson County jail to serve the sentence.
