20 Year Old Slayer Given Life Sentence
In Franklin Johnson Circuit Court Judge Robert Lybrook sentenced 20 year old parolee Kenneth G. Wilhite to life imprisonment after Wilhite pleaded guilty to the April 8 murder of William L. Zimmerman, 47, of Needmore. Zimmerman was killed with a 12 gauge shotgun as he knelt to remove a loaned jack. The body was found east of Needham and Wilhite was captured later in Columbus. He was on parole from the Indiana State Reformatory for part of a prior robbery sentence.
