Suspects In Drug Probe Given Hearings
Nine persons appeared before Judge Robert R. Brown in Jackson Circuit Court for preliminary hearings on drug related arrests from Friday night raids. Bonds ranged from 2 000 to 10 000 dollars with arraignments set for June 12. All suspects were part of a six county roundup that yielded 48 charges against 23 adults and 10 juveniles in Seymour and nearby areas.

Official Ruling On Drowning Death In Indiana River
Ronald Plantz a 19 year old from Seymour died by drowning after his body was recovered Sunday afternoon from the East Fork of White River about 13 miles downstream from where he disappeared Memorial Day weekend. Coroner Keith Burkholder ruled it an accidental death due to drowning per pathologist findings. The youth’s body was sent to Point Pleasant West Virginia for funeral services pending at Wilcoxin Funeral Home.
