A 78-year-old Freetown R1 man, James M. Mann, pleaded guilty in Seymour City Court to reckless driving and driving without a license. He was fined $1 and $18.75 costs on the first charge and $5 and $18.75 costs on the second. Mann was arrested at 1:15 a.m. May 28 after a crash at Tipton and Poplar streets by Officer Jackie R. Nowling.

First Jury Trial Of Term Thursday
James E. Tindall a 35 year old Pleasure Ridge man faces a may term trial in Jackson Circuit Court on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. He was arrested April 7 by Trooper Maurice L. Wright near the old state police weight scales after his semi trailer left U S 31 and plunged into a ditch. He is free on a $1000 bond and represented by Branaman and Markel.

Cars Damaged Thirty Dollars In Chestnut Street Crash
Two automobiles were damaged for a total of 30 dollars at 9 11 p m Friday in an accident on Chestnut Street. Virginia Fyfe 25 of 718 North Pine Street drove a 1957 two door sedan into a 1959 convertible parked in an angle space. Sgt Joe Schrink said the parked car owned by Malcolm Browning 401 West Fifth Street was damaged 25 dollars to the left rear bumper and Fyfe's car 5 dollars to the right rear bumper.

Cheryl Crane the 16 year old daughter of Lana Turner fled El Retiro School for Girls in San Fernando with two companions, marking a second disappearance in five weeks. Police reported the missing trio after they climbed a 10 foot wall and later contacted Crane's father Steven Crane.
