A Seymour police investigation Thursday night at 11:35 found no injuries or citations after a West Fourth Street collision near Indianapolis Avenue. Lawrence William Lynch, 25, of Columbus, rear-ended an unoccupied car owned by Catherine Clark. Lynch’s car sustained about 150 dollars in damage while Clark’s vehicle was valued at 100 dollars.

Army Worms Ravage Jackson County Crops In Widespread Outbreak
Army worms have damaged Jackson County corn and clover as they spread across virtually all areas. Farmers deploy furrows and poisoned bran to deter the pests while officials warn the peak may still be ahead and damage extends to Montgomery Wells Henry and Miami counties. Cross examination of witnesses opposing Indiana Gas and Water Co petitions for higher rates continued before the Public Service Commission in Indianapolis. Fred Kleinman of the Illinois Commerce Commission testified on rate sufficiency for a fair return and disclosed a history of opposing rate increases. Nine cities intervened to oppose an average 10.94 percent boost across 59 towns and Seymour.
