Body of Seymour Youth Recovered After River Search
The body of Ronald Prantz, 19, of Seymour, was found in the East Fork of White River about 13 miles downstream from where he disappeared while swimming near the railroad bridge north of Seymour. Coroner Keith Burkholder ordered an autopsy, and volunteers led the search with Lt. Robert Whitsett and others observing.

Five Autos Involved In Mishap Train Hits Car
A chain reaction crash in Seymour involved five cars over the weekend. Cheryl A. Bowser 23 of Seymour was driving a 1966 two door when her dog leapt onto her lap causing her to swerve and hit a series of vehicles on North Walnut street. Police say braking failed and the emergency brake did not stop the car.

Rain Expected Wednesday in Central Indiana
The National Weather Service says a cold front will push into central Indiana on Wednesday bringing showers. Summer school opens at Crothersville High School
Fifty drivers in training and 37 elementary students enroll in remedial reading and mathematics. Five Seymour juveniles arrested Friday night on drug charges faced preliminary hearings in Brownstown juvenile court before Judge Robert R Brown. Police said 62 officers from multiple agencies joined a six month drug investigation across six counties. Juveniles, aged 14 to 17, were held overnight and released to parents for June 12 arraignment.

Woman Nabbed During Search at Days Inn Near Seymour
A 21 year old Houston woman Linda Parker was arrested at 6 31 p m Saturday during a raid on three rooms at a Days Inn east of Seymour. She faces three charges including possession of marijuana possession of a stolen weapon and parole violation. Police seized a large quantity of drugs and two .25 caliber pistols. Also arrested in Louisville previously were Joseph Breaux Wayne Parker and Debra Parker all Houston Texas.
