Former Seymour Girl Wins Sharples Scholarship Prize
Miss Verna Weaver, a Purdue University student and former Seymour resident, is among ten awardees from ten states to receive the P. M. Sharples scholarship. Each winner gets 500 dollars and must undertake special work in promoting the dairy industry during senior year. Miss Weaver is the daughter of Jesse Weaver and formerly lived on North Ewing Street.
