Jail Term Set For Youth 18 in Medora Case
An 18 year old Medora youth had probation revoked in Jackson Circuit Court. Judge Jonathan J. Robertson sentenced him to one year at the Indiana state farm Putnamville plus three years probation on release. He was accused in a May burglary at Melvin Thixton’s home and admitted taking a .38 revolver and a .22 rifle, later selling both. The revolver was sold in Washington County and the rifle locally. both firearms were recovered. He had previously been guilty of second degree burglary tied to a January Medora business robbery and given a suspended prison term contingent on Army enlistment, which was rejected, leading to probation.
