Judge orders bank payout to creditors at Crothersville
Distribution of 75 percent of common claims against the defunct Union State Bank of Crothersville will begin Thursday. Checks totaling about $138,938 will be available at the bank building, following an order by Judge John C. Branaman approving the petition filed by the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. Preferred claims of around $3,000 have been paid in full. The bank's assets on hand total about $145,519, with 185,250 in total common claims.
