172 Vehicles Pass Safety Check On West Fifth Night
172 vehicles passed through voluntary safety check lanes Tuesday night on West Fifth Street run by American Legion Post 89 officials. 56 failed inspection and 116 received Indiana safety stickers. Lanes operate tonight 5:30 to 8 and again Thursday and Friday. 5 car owners returned for stickers. Main faults: faulty tires, brakes, lights, exhaust, windshield wipers, and mirrors.

Emma Otte 77 of Seymour died suddenly at 11 30 PM Tuesday at 407 West Seventh Street. Born August 3 1877 in Waymansville she was married to John H. Otte who died April 10 1955. Survived by son Omer, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two sisters. Funeral 1 20 PM Friday at home and 2 PM at St Peters Lutheran Waymansville with burial Riverview Cemetery.
