A severe storm near Azalia ten miles north of Seymour halted the Dixie Flyer and damaged the trolley line. Five traction poles were reported down and the train limped into Seymour about 45 minutes late as visibility vanished to a foot or two and fields flooded. Chester Williams and Levi Parker, both of Greenwood, were conductor and motorman respectively.
