Uniform Rank of Knights of Pythias Elects Officers
The Local Uniform Rank of the Knights of Pythias elected officers at its Tuesday meeting in Seymour. George T. Bartlett was chosen captain of the Bank, the sixth in 37 years. Officers installed include Joseph Steele, Edward Aufderheide, Walter Himler, Edward Kidd, with committees named. The rank plans to attend several encampments in the coming year and will be inspected February 20 by Colonel Levi Hooker of Evansville. The group, one of Seymour’s oldest semi military bodies, now counts 39 members.

Boy Thief Believed Headed Toward Seymour
Charles Williams a 19 year old resident of Scottsburg recently paroled from the state reformatory is alleged to have broken into Earley Keith's residence in Scottsburg on Tuesday night stealing clothing cuff links and cash. Sheriff W C Ardrey reported the theft and asked local police to watch for the light complexioned short but well built suspect who was seen walking north on the state highway toward Seymour.

Escapee from Indiana Farm Colony Captured Near Surprise
C Edwards aged 17, one of five boys who fled the Indiana Farm Colony at Butlerville, was captured today by Sheriff Sherman Sneed. He had been staying at Albert Wright's farm near Surprise and Wright informed authorities after reading in the Seymour Tribune that the escape occurred. The Butlerville staff then retrieved the boy from Browns Town.
