January Juries Drawn for Jackson Circuit Court Term
Names of prospective petit and grand juries for the January term of Jackson Circuit Court were drawn today by the Jackson county jury commissioners at the county courthouse. The process took longer as officials cleared the jury box before drawing. Roy P. O Neal of Indianapolis faced two counts including operation while intoxicated and driving with a suspended license and posted a 1000 bond after pleading not guilty. James Robert York, 18, of Seymour pled guilty to petit larceny and was fined 25 dollars plus costs.

Fifteen Die As U S Plane Crashes On Arab Field
A U S Air Force Constellation crashed at Dhahran Saudi Arabia in heavy fog killing fifteen aboard. The aircraft had arrived from Tripoli with 11 hours flight time, two other planes continued to Bahrain. Forty one aboard were reported, 26 hospitalized, and three dead on arrival in Bahrain. California Fires Under Control Near Zuma Beach
In the Santa Monica Mountains fog eased fire near Zuma Beach and Lake Sherwood, with three blazes combined burning over 60 square miles. Authorities called the fires under control as crews from California counties returned home after four tense days.
